Application Note

Besides the unsurpassed repeatability, our technology also has the property of adaptability, presented here, which makes it possible to achieve accuracy nearly as good as its precision. As a reference method for defining accuracy we take chemical analysis.

table 1

Figure 1: Validation of EchoMRI Infants < 4 kg (900 kHz) on a set of 25 piglets of mass between 2 and 4.3 kg, versus chemical analysis.

Figure 2: Validation of EchoMRI Infants < 11 kg (600 kHz) on a set of 25 piglets of mass between 2 and 10.6 kg, versus chemical analysis.

Precision of EchoMRI™ System for Humans was tested in a short term (30 to 48 scans within 9 hours of one day, for each of 6 normal subjects) and a long term (69 and 90 scans within 70 days, for each of 6 normal subjects) series of measurements on human volunteers, in spring of 2008. Given the intrinsic variability of the volunteers, these numbers are upper bounds on the errors of the device proper.
