The EchoMRI-B™ is a QNMR system that provides the most precise measurements of whole body composition parameters: total body fat, lean mass, body fluids, and total body water in live birds and bats weighing up to 500 grams, without the need for anesthesia or sedation and in about 1 minute.

Despite its advanced technology, the system is exceedingly easy to operate and maintain by investigators without prior experience. In fact, a training period of 1 hour is sufficient for individuals without prior knowledge. Moreover, system's daily tuning and calibration are automatic. Data analysis is also automatic, and numeric results are stored in a preconfigured database. The system is a stand-alone unit, uses standard power sources, and is completely shielded and safe to run.

We know that many avian researchers have a special need to do their studies in the field while following the migratory patterns of their subjects using a mobile laboratory. This particular system can be easily modified to fit more conveniently within your mobile laboratory, while maintaining its ability to be removed and easily installed at your base research facility as well.
